Location: Cosy Karibu cottage is located in the small, peaceful hamlet of Cairnbaan adjacent to the Crinan Canal, named Scotland's most beautiful short cut. Easily accessible by car or public transport this beautiful area is known as the 'Heart of Argyll' and whatever your reasons for visiting, Karibu cottage will provide you with everything you need. Cairnbaan is a fantastic location for a wide range of outdoor activities right on your doorstep including sea kayaking, walking and cycling and nearby Kilmartin Glen is one of the UK's most outstanding areas for visiting archaeological sites of interest. Karibu cottage is also an ideal base to explore the Inner Hebrides with day visits to the islands of Islay, Jura , Mull, Lismore , Luing and Gigha. For those who prefer a much slower pace you can pass the time sitting in the garden watching the various yachts navigate the Crinan Canal. and enjoying the incredible number of birds who visit our garden daily.
 
Facilities: Karibu Cottage is a well equipped, modern 2 bedroom, two storey holiday cottage, set in a very peaceful location, 60 yards from the Crinan Canal. There is free car parking in a private car park adjacent to the cottage. 
The ground floor comprises a porch area for your boots and coats, living/dining room with two comfy 3 seater sofas, a dining area with table and 4 chairs and French doors to the back garden. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen for anyone who wants to cook up a storm including many store cupboard essentials of herbs, spices, oil, teas and coffees. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has  a  bath tub, shower cubicle and toilet.
 
The first floor comprises 2 double bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a king size bed, and sleeps 2 people. The smaller bedroom has a double bed suitable for 2 people. Based on the bedroom arrangements, Both bedrooms have ample storage for clothes.

Karibu Cottage  is suitable for rentals from the following groups. 1 single, 2 singles, 1 single and 1 couple, 2 couples. It is possible on request and subject to availability and by paying an additional supplement to add a single bed into the large double bedroom which would make the possibility of a group comprising 2 singles and 1 couple. The maximum occupancy is 4  guests.

Additional details: The whole cottage is NON - SMOKING  and sorry NO PETS are allowed. It is well equipped with the following:

• All towels and bed linen supplied - all non-feather. Shampoo and body soap.

• Wifi internet

• TV - Amazon Firestick , with Catch up channels .

• Amazon Fire Stick streaming device ( for you to use your own Netflix/Prime subscriptions ) DVD player. 

• Modern electric heating 

• Washing machine, clothes drier rack, (there is no tumble drier) a clothes iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, airing cupboard.

• Fridge and under counter freezer.  

• Microwave, kettle, Tea pot, French coffee press for your morning coffees, slow cooker, food blender. 

• So long as you are not a Michelin starred chef, you will find the kitchen is also equipped with basic condiments, spices and oils, a selection of teas and coffee. We have most utensils you will require for preparing, cooking and serving your own meals. 

• The sunny south facing front garden facing the Crinan Canal has seating with a coffee table and picnic table for your drinks, cocktails and morning coffee. The private garden to the rear also has outside dining facilities and comfy garden chairs with squidgy cushions.

Availability:  Karibu cottage is available to book all year with arrival day any day of the week. We have a 3 night minimum booking - you need 3 nights to truly unwind and enjoy the cottage! Check in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10.00 am.
