Our Grapplers' Getaways cater to a range of ages and skill levels, ensuring that every participant can find a deeply enriching experience. Spend a week learning about yourself, connecting with other like-minded people, deepening your skills and having a great vacation. Whether it is training under the guidance of legends or connecting with fellow grappling enthusiasts, these vacations provide an unforgettable journey into the world of martial arts.

Odyssey Eco farm Glamping has a team of dedicated staff who make this place very special. We have our incredible kitchen and restaurant staff who will be preparing your gourmet evening meals and serving you beers at the beach, the gardeners who tend our organic vegetables that provide much of the food for Odyssey and our housekeepers who make sure that your accommodation and other site facilities are first class.

Our 2024 / 2025 Instructor - Stratos Lekkas

Stratos is holder of a black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and trained under Dimitris Margaritopoulas of the brotherhood Grappling Project, Athens. He is a member of the Greek National Team Newaza and is a certified referee by IJJF.

His awards include the following:
Gold medal at ADCC Spain (2021)
Gold medal at the Newaza Panhellenic Championship (2021)
Gold medal at the Panhellenic Championship No Gi (2018)

Stratos has been a Ju Jitsu coach since 2017 and we are honoured to have secured him for our Grapplers' Getaways for 2024/25.

Vaggelis Papadopoulos

Vaggelis is a keen student of Ju Jitsu and has personally designed this unique Grappler's Getaway. Vaggelis grew up on Poros island and has been involved with Odyssey Eco glamping for many years and has an intimate knowledge of the area. He will be your host for this week and will be there to greet you when you arrive and will guide you through the weeks' activities. he will also be joining you in your training sessions - as a willing participant!

 

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Travelling to Odyssey Eco Glamping.  
Travel to Galatas. Galatas is situated south west of Athens and is easily reached by using a combination of the excellent and modern Greek public transport system. Every guest who makes a booking with us will receive detailed travel guidance notes. There are two ways to travel to Galatas; you can travel to the port of Piraeus and then take a boat to Poros island. From Poros you take a 5 minute ferry ride to Galatas. Odyssey Eco Glamping is a short taxi ride from Galatas. In order to travel via Poros it is important to arrive in the Port of Piraeus by 6.00 pm as this is generally when the last boat departs. You can find information on times at the following websites: Hellenic Seaways and Saronic Ferries. Allow yourself approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to travel from either Athens airport (ATH) or Athens centre to Piraeus, so bear this in mind when booking arrival and departure flights from ATH. The second option for travelling to Galatas is directly from Athens by road. A private taxi transfer can be arranged for a single person and for various sized groups. The minimum cost of this is 230 Euros for up to 4 people; for larger groups the cost varies. The journey takes approximately 2 and a half hrs.
